A 30 minute video and booklet explaining Cecchetti’s enduring concepts relative to classical and modern dance
Cecchetti had a complete buildup of concepts of movement, as demonstrated in his adages for the Days of the Week, which enabled a dancer to perform any movement asked for by the diverse choreographers of Diaghilev’s Ballet Russe. The booklet explains in detail the concepts built up over the week. The video shows, for each day of the week, these concepts demonstrated first in Cecchetti adages and then in modern choreography.
A valuable resource for those preparing for Teacher Qualifying Examinations and a general education tool for Major level students.
