Betty Seibert, Fellow of Cecchetti USA and the ISTD, was awarded the Maestro Cecchetti Final Diploma in 1988. She has been an examiner since 1993 and the Director of Examinations since 1994. During her tenure as a principal dancer, she performed leading roles in the classical repertoire, where favorites included Giselle, Coppélia, and Swan Lake. She currently coaches teachers for all levels of CUSA exams—both certifying and qualifying. As a Founding Member of Cecchetti International Classical Ballet, she currently serves as its Treasurer. Ms. Seibert continues to emphasize the necessity of marrying two strong disciplines—a sound syllabus of instruction for the development of dancers and teachers with an emphasis on the theatricality of dance as a performing art.
